Training and Development Specialist

Whether it's new construction or an update to existing buildings; private, public or major venue, Jones Sign can handle our customer's projects from design assistance to installation. Jones Sign works with some of the top retail developers and environmental graphic consultants in the country and has ongoing relationships with many Fortune 500 firms. We manufacture all types of interior and exterior signage including wayfinding signs, electric signs, electronic message boards, pylon, channel letters, monument, wall signs, awnings, billboard structures and much more.

A few of our recent projects include; Hard Rock Stadium, USBank Stadium, T Mobile Arena, The Crayola Experience, Daytona Motor Speedway and numerous local and national client's projects such as AutoZone, Menards, Dollar General, AT&T and more.

This position is responsible for working with
subject matter experts to identify, design, plan, organize and implement
training for in-person, online, or blended format within the organization
utilizing the learning management system.


+ Responsible for administering the
learning management system

+ Accountable for working with various
departments and manufacturing facilities to identify training needs,
create training with subject matter experts, and coordinate with trainers
to implement the training

+ Responsible for quality control of courses
to ensure that courses meet Jones Sign standards

+ Coach, mentor and provide feedback to
course authors and trainers to ensure consistency in the training
materials and delivery

+ Evaluate training methods and materials
prepared by trainers such as outlines, handouts, presentations, text or
any other training related material and suggest changes as needed

+ Develop in-person, online and blended
delivery approaches for training

+ Manage reporting within the learning
management system for various departments to monitor employee training

+ Evaluate the effectiveness of training
programs and make recommendations for improvement based on employee

Education, Experience or
Specific Skills:

+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources,
Communication, or other related field

+ Associate's degree in related field with
the right mix of experience will be considered

+ Experience in the sign industry, manufacturing
environment, or custom fabrication is a plus

+ Ability to communicate effectively with
people at multiple levels

+ Training design and implementation using
a variety of instructional techniques such as role playing, simulations,
team exercises, group discussions, videos, or presentations.

+ Ability to listen actively, asking the
appropriate questions to gather pertinent information

+ Collaborative skills /expertise to focus
differing functions in order to balance quality and cost while meeting
customer needs

+ Can effectively teach and mentor to obtain
desired quality results

+ Energized by fast-paced environments

Technology Related Skills:

+ Experience with learning management systems
such as Blackboard, Moodle, Bridge or equivalent

+ Proficient in the use of video conferencing
platforms such as Webex, Go To Meeting, Zoom or equivalent

+ Experience with video editing software such as
Camtasia Relay or equivalent

+ Experience with building learning objects a

+ Proficient with Word and Excel

+ Experience with Jobscope a plus but not
